We are excited to release our long-awaited debut with Grammy Award-winning DJ, Producer and Sound Engineer Young Guru! In this series of in-depth videos, key aspects of the production process and mixing technique of Jay-Z’s right-hand man, whom the WSJ has called “the most successful engineer in the history of hip-hop”, are revealed. The young Guru explains how he searches for sounds, samples them from records and matches them with drum machines and controllers. He shares the details of how he created the loop that started the process of creating an entire track for artist Voli Contra. Using Akai MPC and Ableton Push integrated with Live, he demonstrates a number of approaches and features that are essential to his beat-making process. After a deep dive into an Ableton Live production session, Young Guru opens up a Pro Tools mixing session,
